Child Custody
Child custody evaluations are the most comprehensive familial assessments in Family Court cases and thus the most expensive. Other types of evaluations can often address the same questions with less cost. Child custody evaluations are recommended when custody is highly contested and parents are unwilling to come to a mutual agreement on their own or with a less intensive evaluation. All relevant parties (adults and children) are interviewed, relevant psychological testing is performed, collateral information is reviewed, parent-child interactions are observed, and all of this data is synthesized into a comprehensive report in support of forensic psychological opinions.
