Personal Injury/Disability/IME
Personal injury evaluations look at the extent to which an individual has suffered psychological harm as part of the damages incurred in a civil case. When emotional distress secondary to civil injury is at issue, research has proven that jury awards tend to be significantly higher when mental health professionals testify on behalf of a legitimate plaintiff. Psychological testing is also an effective means of detecting any malingering or exaggeration and corroborating the validity of a claim. Examinations for psychiatric disability may be necessary for Worker's Compensation, VA, or other disability compensation systems.
