
Dr. Ashtin Adkins earned her B.A. from Concord University in 2010 and her Psy.D. from Marshall University in 2015. During her training at Marshall, she worked at Hudson Forensic Psychology as a supervised psychologist, and she returned as a forensic evaluator in 2018. She has worked at multiple federal correctional facilities and is currently a staff psychologist at the Bureau of Prisons' Federal Correctional Institute in Beckley, WV, as well as a forensic evaluator at Hudson Forensic. As a clinical psychologist within the prison system, she has provided evidence-based treatment to hundreds of inmates in an effort to best prepare them for their eventual return to the community. She regularly engages in interventions aimed at deescalating crises that may arise among inmates during their incarceration. She has performed numerous parental fitness evaluations, as well as psychological evaluations with children and adolescents. Currently, she maintains professional licenses in the states of West Virginia and Arizona.
